Some of our favorite things.....So far.
Goin' for awsome rides in Daddy's truck! Wowie Zakowie! Is that ever fun! YES...it is.
Daddy. Yes, Daddy. He is one of our most favorite things! He loves us so much and he has a crush on Bridget. Good thing I'm not the jealous type...Daddy may have a crush on Bridget but I am his buddy dog. He tells me this every day.
Mommy & Daddy have only had boy dogs, Tibby and Toby (a hard act to follow, we feared, turns out.. we had nothin' to worry about.. Mommy & Daddy can love all of us) and Daddy has 3 sons, no daughters. He loves his son's, Neil, Kenneth & Timothy, and loved having boys. He loves his daughter in laws, Nicole and Melissa, as if they were his own daughters. So, he was thrilled to have 3 grand daughter's after having his first grandchild, a very special boy named Nathan. He loves them all.
But, he's smitten with Bridget the same way he is smitten with Ashley, Phoebe and Haley
Girls! Sheese.. they can wrap themselves around his baby finger and his heart!
Yup! Just one look, baby, that's all it took...that's all it took to melt his heart. And girls know this! Yes they do! :)
Anyway, we wanted everyone to know that even though it is Mommy who writes this blog and it was Mommy who found us, if it wasn't for our Daddy we never would have gotten here. Our Mommy loves Daddy just as much as we do!
We went to the vet on Friday. Dr. Olga loved us, said we were the cutest thing goin'!
We were very well behaved. We didn't piddle the whole time we were there. Dr. Olga was very impressed!
Bridget did better than Flanagan... Bridget is a hog for attention.. any attention! Even attention that involves needles and icky stuff to swallow and, even ickier, stuff up our nose!
So, we are all set, so far. We won't have to worry about getting nasty heart worms or any other worms. We don't have flea's (whew) but we do have to worry about ticks, so our asses are covered, there. And we don't have to worry about the many, many raccoons in our neighborhood. Just in case they are rabid.
The pups are getting so big! Bridget weighs 21 lbs. and Flanagan weighs 22 lbs. They are healthy, happy and cheerful. And, most of all, they are crazy in love with us! We are, so, over the moon in love with them...I don't think we will ever look at them without *stars in our eyes*!
We will use certificate's from Friends of Animals to have Bridget & Flanagan spayed and neutered within the next two months. We will have them done on the same day. I don't see any other way. They tussle so much. We figure if they are both tired and tuckered out at the same time, there will be less chance of either of them running into difficulties by way of too much activity.
I dread the thought of those horrid e collars, though! Dogs and cats hate them and they do look so uncomfortable and miserable the whole time they have to wear them!
Let's see... on the dining side of things, Bridget & Flanagan don't seem to dislike anything, so far. They are eating good and eating well.
They are waking a bit too early if I had any say in this. 5:30 ish is awful!
Especially, when you realize they fall dead asleep, within 30 minutes of waking us! Oh, boy! Wouldn't it be great if all of us could fall back asleep so easily?
Oh well, soon enough, they will be grown and we will find ourselves wishing them puppies again. Sigh.
Bridget & Flanagan bring much joy to us and we will treasure every step they take. And we thank them, every day, for allowing us to do so.
Later,
Bridget & Flanagan's Mommy
